What is Cyber Bullying?
"If I find you, I will beat you up," one message read. Frightened, Michael blocked their IM addresses but didn't tell his parents for two weeks.
This was a real life case study of a freshman victimized of cyber-bullying. Some cases of cyber-bullying can go as far suicide, but not often. Cyber-bullying can be stopped, and the best way is by spreading awareness. So for the next chapter we will be informing you on cyber-bullying so that you can do the same to others. What is cyberbullying? Cyberbullying is a new type of bullying in which, the Internet, mobile phones, and other devices are used to harass, embarrass, and threaten another person. Cyberbullying is becoming more and more common and has a negative and often dramatic effect on children and teenagers. Cyberbullying is not face to face. It involves no physical violence and it is difficult to detect. Victims may never find the identity of the person responsible for the cyberbullying. In cyberbullying, children who are victims often switch roles and become bullies because they can pretend to be something they’re not. Although cyberbullying does not physically hurt people. Extreme outcomes sometimes kill.

Summary: Cyberbullying is when a child or teen is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed by others using technology. They often change roles, going from victim to bully and back again. Many children have committed suicide after having been involved in a cyber-bullying incident.
